Position Title: Rural Program Coordinator

Salary Range: $25-$28/hour plus benefits

Classification: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

Overview:

North Dakota Domestic & Sexual Violence Coalition is the designated domestic violence and sexual assault coalition in North Dakota. Our mission is to end domestic and sexual violence in North Dakota. Our membership includes 18 community-based programs throughout North Dakota who provide direct services to victims of domestic and sexual violence.

General Summary of Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for supporting and empowering sexual violence services in rural North Dakota. This position will provide training and technical assistance to domestic and sexual violence programs across North Dakota on sexual assault specific issues and coordinate grant specific projects.

Duties:

  • Provide oversight of NDDSVC’S OVW Rural grant project including monitoring sub-recipient activities, outcomes, and budgets.
  • Provide technical assistance and training to NDDSVC member organizations and community partners on sexual assault services and response.
  • Work to increase capacity of NDDSVC member organizations in providing trauma-informed sexual assault services.
  • Facilitate meetings with rural NDDSVC member organizations to promote shared learning.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least two years of experience in a social service or related field.
  • Experience working with North Dakota’s rural communities.
  • Experience in training and technical assistance curriculum development, adult learning styles/adult education, and group facilitation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage several projects at once.
  • Self-motivated; able to work independently.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Flexibility to do some traveling in state and occasionally out of state.

The person in this position is responsible for providing rural domestic and sexual violence victims (adults and children) with advocacy, information and referrals, and education.
