15 ways to join the movement against domestic and sexual violence

  1. Learn more about domestic violence, sexual violence, and how abuse impacts victims. By gaining a deeper understanding of the complex situations and feelings that victims face, you will be able to better support someone who is experiencing abuse.
  2. Get to know your local domestic violence/sexual assault advocacy center and the services they provide. Tell your friends they can find help there if they’re ever looking for support.
  3. Be a role model for healthy relationships by embodying respect, equality, and lifting others up. And believe survivors when they come forward!
  4. Challenge offensive or harmful language regarding women, girls, and other marginalized groups like sexist jokes or stereotypical or demeaning comments. 10. Talk to policymakers about the importance of DV/SA advocacy centers and providing adequate funding for their services.
  11. Help us provide higher education opportunities for low-income women by donating to the Women’s Opportunity Scholarship.
